is it possible to find out a person's name by their phone number?

becuz i just saw on my cell phone that i recieved a call... i only have the number but no name. is there a way to find out the name of the person who called (assuming it is their phone) via the number on my caller id?

i think it's probably a cell number... my searches come up blank.
 
google will reverse lookup a phone number if you have an area code for it, just type the full number in the regular search box....dun think it works for cells tho, oh well

It's either a cell phone number or unlisted number.
