Is it possible to extend a sata power cable?

Hey guys, my pc doesn't have enough SATA power cables. I wanted to know if it's possible to extend a sata power cable and add another sata power pin thingy. Has anyone done this before?

From an electrical "theoretical" perspective, the answer is yes. There is a limit to the length of a SATA DATA cable because they carry very short fast data signals which can degrade over a long cable due to crosstalk, inductance and capacitance. But the POWER cable carries no such signals and is not subject to significant length limits.

So I tried doing this on an old unused pc and I got it to work, but on my current pc. I can't take apart the plastic connector. It's a foxconn connector and im afraid I might break it. Does anyone know how to take those apart?
