Go to farmers market. I got a week's worth of veggies for $15. Then pick up some chicken for $5 and fish for $5, a little olvie oil and vinegar and you can eat salads all week long 🙂

another way to cut back on meats is to look for the ones that are near the "sell by" date. they're usually MUCH cheaper, more than 50% most of the time, and all you have to do is throw them in the freezer. i've gotten some lean beef for really cheap this way

I usually check to find the newest meat. Don't like freezing meat at all. I just buy what I am gonna eat next couple of days. But I guess if you want to save money it may be worth it.

Sweet Jesus, you only budget $3/day on food?!?!? You really need to restructure your budget, unless you have the worst paying job ever.

seriously!

I wish I could budget $3/day per person for food.

I spend $2.70/day on one latte!

I don't have an official job. 😉

I sell things on eBay, and my main source of income on there is taking a break. The company that I sell for is doing some restructuring and price/inventory adjusting, so.. no more sales for now. Ouch.

A part time job right now would be great, I suppose I should look around.....
