Is it possible to download the DivX 5 codec without downloading the player?

I downlaoded divx 5.01 w/o the video player yesterday, but it was for linux :)

Works nicely in Xine.

I think that it comes in a package, you can always delete the playa once it is downloaded if you want...

So uninstalling the player won't also unistall the codec?

Your problem with the player is what? Are you that low on disk space? :p

It's not like its RealPlayer. It takes up like 1MB of disk space and doesn't interfere with anything including file associations. If it bugs you that much, just remove the shortcuts from your start menu, delete the contents of \Program Files\The Playa\ and get on with your life and enjoy the extra 1meg!! :p
