Hey All,

Im wondering if one can do a 1:1 Backup DVD's with a DVD burner? Or do you still have to rip it and than copy it to a dvd? and if you have to rip it, will it still play in a DVD player?

thanx

only possible if it's not encrypted and under 4.7gb.

Otherwise you have to

Decrypt in and rip out the extras.

My new pet project is to back up all my nicer dvd's . Currently backed up about 80 . On single layer protected dvd's I am using Dvddecrypter to remove macrovision and c.r. protection and burn with Nero . On dual layers I rip with dvd decrypter , then process with dvd2one and burn with Nero . On episodic or dvd's that I want the extra's and such with I rip the entire dvd with dvd decrypter and process and burn with Pinnacle Instant Copy .
