Is it possible to cause a dead pixel (kill a pixel i suppose) by touching the LCD screen?

Man... LCD screens aren't worth the money... the amount of headache you get when you find a friggin dead pixel.

Maybe if you &quot;touched&quot; it with a hammer! Anything is possible but it is nearly impossible that you damaged the screen by touching it.

It's pretty common for LCD panels to have either &quot;dead&quot; (always off) or &quot;stuck&quot; (always on) pixels. Dead ones are less annoying than stuck ones, I think. And most manufacturers won't replace a panel unless it has a bunch of defective pixels spread accross the screen or several defective pixels in a small area.
