Is it possible to buy a Dell Laptop without Windows?

Can I call CSR and request that? I will install Win XP/Linux and already have a couple of extra licenses from MS seminars. BTW, the new Dell Latitude looks pretty good. I just wish they had the Celeron-M as an option like HP is starting to have.

I think they only drop about $50 off the price ... that's just hearsay though.

Call up a Dell CSR, and ask your translator to haggle a deal.

We've tried and couldn't. A client of ours had about a dozen dell laptops stolen but we still had the XP licenses. They wouldn't give us replacement systems without XP, even at full price.

Saving $50 is worth it if you already have the operating system.

I believe it used to be possible, but MS got upset they weren't getting a cut and strongarmed pc companies not to do it.

Nope, Dell won't do it I was hoping to save some coin myself, but they will not sell any computers without Windows.
