Is it possible to burn out a CD-RW Drive?

I had some software issues when installing my old HD into a new computer... so I need top reformat... but since the drive was 120gb, and my other drive was only 30gb... I had to burn a lot of CDs.

It seemed to work pretty well at first, but after about... 20 or so CDs... I've been getting a lot of coasters... did I accidentally ruin my CD-RW Drive by burning too many in a row? or... could it just be poor files?

I'm not sure why (I suspect some memory issue), but I have found that sometimes after burning several cds it helps to reboot and then continue burning.
