Is it possible to add Media Center to Vista Business?

So I just installed Vista Business, got it for free from MSDNAA for my school. Would have liked the Home Premium, but you know, you take what you can get.

Does anyone know if you can install Media Center for Vista in the Business version? Through an update, or an SDK or something?

TIA

You could get a trial copy of SageTV or BeyondTV, and see if either of those work for you. That should be cheaper than the anytime upgrade.

Yes, by upgrading to ultimate.

I take it that the Media Center portion of Vista is ONLY available to the Home and Ultimate versions? Shame if so, really don't want to have to pay anything. Just doesn't seem worth it when XP MCE works fine.

Ah well, I'll give this one a spin for awhile before I head back to XP.

Seems a bit more resource intensive than XP, but not too much so.

I like the "Side candy like" gadgets, but I wish they were more powerful. For example, I have the thumbnail one pulling pics off a network drive, but if that drive isn't online, the sidebar gets all glitchy.

My wife finds it a bit more user friendly with things like importing pics from a camera or network drive, but personally I liked the simpler interface of XP.

EDIT: I was rude, sorry.

That would be an option for TV, I'll have to see if those are copmpatible with either of my TV cards.

Probably will go back to XP though, MCE can stream TV to my Xbox 360.

Thanks though! :)

You can find an easy replacement for media center (hell the red kawa or whatever one for the PS3 runs in a web browser) and get the best of both ;)
