Is it possible to access microphone via javascript?

Is it possible for a site to programmatically access microphone through javascript? If the answer is no, are there any activex controls out there that can allow one to do so?

It's most certainly impossible via javascript. Only a loon would allow something like that in a web scripting language. ActiveX, I don't know about.

ActiveX can certainly do it, but I don't know if anything is already written that you can plug in.

Javascript, no way as noted.

Flash would do it if the user allows it.

Yeah, ActiveX or Flash. ActiveX would limit you to IE for the most part though.
