Is it possible for women to take pills for them to be more likely to have a male or female child? If so, please provide links, thanks.

Not that I know of. Don't you think this would be HUGE news if there was such a pill?

My wife has a pregnancy book that says sexual position helps your chances. Something about fast vs. slow swimming sperm.

Something tells me that's somewhat non-scientific...

Not that I've heard of, but there are techniques. I may mix this up a little, but...apparently typical semen has more male than female sperm, however the female sperm can survive longer, thus if you have sex before the very beginning of ovulating you can increase the odds of having more female sperm "alive" when the egg is ready, and thus increase the odds of having a girl.

Not sure how well that works, but apparently my sister was trying it and she had a girl (after 3 boys, and after her husband had 3 boys with his ex).

Go home and study your biology. The gender of a child is determined solely by the father.

lmao.

ohh classic. someone's gotta sig that.

Not really ... in terms of classical biology he's right. The mother always donates her X chromosome, and if the father gives a sperm with a Y chromosome, the child will be male, and if not, she will be female.

So he is right, but apparently there are some (dubious?) techniques that can change some of that.

Actually, you can improve the odds of having one gender instead of another by putting the baby-batter in a centrifuge and only using the stuff on the bottom or the top...

I read snippets from a book on this subject. It was really quite interesting..

It was quite complex. It had to do with position, time of the month(for both the girl and the guy).. all kinds of stuff.

You can choose sex(amongst other qualities) if you go to a fertility clinic.

Only the father of a child (under normal circumstances) determines the sex of the child due to only the father carrying the last X or Y gene.

Yeah that's what I thought... why were people saying "Swing and a miss" and "sig material" as if its wrong?

Or maybe I just missed something?

nope, just the PC crowd denying the fact that the male species has a deciding factor
