Iunno... well uhh... I was just surfin, and this dude calls out of nowhere.. so I pick up, and he says he's searching for his phone. So I'm like ok... wrong #?... So then he says "I think you have my phone." Odd? Because its under a t-mobile family plan that my family has?... So I ask if its the same phone as mine... Motorola V300... He says its silver, mines blue... But he has the same phone # as my cell phone. i'm under T-mobile FYI. Mine had a silver case when I bought it in California... But since it voided warranty I switched it back to the blue one. And also T-mobile had to switch my sim card to a new phone # when transferring from a CA area code to WA.

So...?...

is it possible for someone to have the same phone # as me?... Or is something very wrong here?

so having a different case on that sweetass v300 will void the warranty?

go crazy and put the blue one back on! if you really had any balls, you would put a carbon fiber...or even a red case on it...

wild man...wild!!!11

Your gf was clearly harboring illegals until they found a place of their own. The authorities have been notified.

:p

Why did you change your number? Because some unknown person called and said he had the same number? Why did you bother to ask ATOT if you changed your number already?

Cause now my family changed it back?... lol.

So now it's all if the dude calls again, I must go to the police station.

It's possible for the phone companies to screw things up like that sometimes. My buddy has a cellphone through Qwest. If I call his phone, and he doesn't awnser it, it goes to his sisters landline machine. It's pretty fscking wierd.

Yes, it happens to me every few months. Here's how:

I received my phone number from Cox Communications in 2003. In late 2004, I ported the number over to my cell phone. However, Cox Communications did not put the number in the 'in use' list. Instead it was recycled. So, every six months or so Cox gives out my number to one of their new customers.

That person can call other people and my number shows up on the caller ID. However, all incoming calls go to my cell phone.

I have called Cox three times about this and they always claim they will, "put the number in the 'in use' list".

They said no one was registered under my phone #?...
They say $15 for a new phone #? Ok sure.
My sister finds out, complains, another $15 to revert it back? ok...
But who the heck is that guy that has my phone #?...

Same model?
Same motorola v300 silver kit?.
Fraud?.

I don't know.
All they told me is if the dude tries to claim it... or calls again... I have to go to the police station.

Lol you should have stopped at step 1: "no one was registered under my phone #?..."

So maybe it was a prank, how long have you had this number with no problems? And if you have no more problems then everything is fine and dandy. If you experience more problems then you probably need to deal with it, but don't jump the gun.

yes it is possible. I switched over to Verizon my phone # was registered to someone else. it was odd i would get calls from someone i didnt know and my friends would say some odd person answered my phone.

finally i called the number from my wife's phone (we are on a family plan at that) and talked to the guy about it. he said he thought something was wrong. Since he had the number longer i called and got mine changed. we also got like $100 credit heh.

so yes it is possible.
