Is it possiable to make contact with someone if I know thier IP?? (More info inside.)

Ok I have a guy that keeps connecting to my webserver and downloading files. I only let my friends do this so I want to know is there anyway to send a message to someone since I have thier IP address and ask them who the heck they are?? Windows Only plz. Linux is the next step just not this week.

The person connecting to me uses DirecPC.

net send might be your only hope

I take it you have a secure login or something to prevent anyone from hitting your server, and this person either hacked it or was givien access?
If you have an open server, be prepared for much more of the same. If you have it secured with some login mechanism, change all the usernames and passwords.
You could change the content on your server, with a message to "the person connecting from direcpc, please email me at <some throwaway free email addy>

net send could work, try to send him a message. i think you can restrict access form ips on most servers(this www or ftp?)

you can do nbtstat -a ip address see if any of that info helps you.


try doing a port scan of the ip address see if he has any servers up with which maybe you coudl figure out how to use to get a message to him
