Is it okay to use your computer during a Prime95 Torture Test (full CPU)?

I don't really experience too much slowdown when I surf the net while Prime95 is doing a 100% CPU Torture test. Can me doing stuff cause it to make errors?

If it does then the system isn't stable...prime is low priority type of app. Meaning it will use all available cycles given to it. If your surfing that probably takes only 10% or less cpu utiilization so prime will use the remaining 90%. sure it may not get all the tests done as fast, but the point is max continous load, max heat, thus max stress....

Heck I encourage other uses as prime95 is running.

no it cannot. it may reduce the stress a tiny bit, but not by much, and it will not cause it to error when it would not otherwise.

That will cause issues with your DVD encoding, regardless of whether your system is stable or not. :p

Causes the audio be out of sync when I did anything intensive while encoding a DVD.
