It should work fine, although you'd lose out on dual channel. That doesn't make much difference though is you believe Tom's Hardware.

What are the specifications of your memory and the memory you plan on buying?

DDR... DDR2... DDR3?
Do you get what I'm driving at?

DDR2 800 (PC2-6400)...
DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)...

Personally I wouldn't run them together. Their speed rating is just too far apart for my taste.
As cheap as memory is, I would simply get more PC2-6400.

BTW, What's the FSB of the CPU you'd be running them with?

Your Crucial DIMMs are rated at 4-4-4-12 (2.2v).
The Corsair you linked to costs $41 and is rated at 5-5-5-12-T1 (1.9v).
If I were you and only looking for a single 1GB module, I'd buy This G.Skill.
It's rated to run at 4-4-4-12 (2.0-2.1v) and costs $40 shipped.

Or you could simply buy another stick of The Crucial for about $9 more.
