I found an apple in my fridge that looked good so I ate it. It tasted good, but was 4 weeks old. Is that safe to eat?

You check a piece of fruit by looking for squishy spots and discoloration! apples keeps for a long time, people used to store them in root cellars![]()

No, you should use it as ammo and throw it at other dorms like we do![]()
Actually only certain types are like that. However, the kind most people buy at the store do keep pretty much infinatly. Some of the more "rare" kind (ie: not every store sells them) will only keep a month or so.Originally posted by: N8Magic
Apples are one of the few fruits that will stay fresh indefinitely if you store them properly.

Anyway, thanks to the domestic knowledge of females, which is what they were made for, I now know that eating month old apples is safe.
