is it okay to do situps/crunches in bed ???

I am trying to tighten up my stomach. This morning when I woke up I did 5 sets of 20 crunches in bed before getting up.

Thats okay, right ? I bent my knees. You don't have to be on a hard surface, do you ???

Hmmm, I used to do that too, but was told that it doesn't do much for you because the bed creates a bouncing effect. This sort of negates the exercise value in it...

I dunno though...

It's better than nothing!
 
Why dont you get an exercise mat? I would think your bed is kind of soft and not firm enough. That would make doing situps/crunches in bed pointless?
