Well, what do you expect her to do about it?

Legally... if they were engaged to be married, and they did not get married, he has every right to demand the ring back.

Now.. is it tasteful for the girl to keep it now that she is with someone else...

hmm... personally, if it were me and the diamond were nice.. i would make it into a pendant or something.

it is illegal to be engaged more than once. check with your state, but i think your friends are screwed.

At first I thought he might be talking about the ring too, but he never says anything about the ring so I think he's just asking about the actual engagement...

My fiancee was previously engaged, he was a complete loser and a mooch, always wanting to go out to eat but never paying, had no job, was in school for years with no direction, things like that. The ring he used was like 10k and turned her finger green so she chucked it lol...I don't mind that she was previously engaged, if anything every time I think about him I laugh a little.

No, you should ostracize and throw rocks at them.

No, didn't you read the republican dating handbook? She should be discarded into the trash heap of left wing hedonism.

Hmmm... I dont see how there can be anything wrong with it... I mean... ppl get engaged and then married and then divorce and engaged and remarried.. that is fully legal... If the engagment is broken it is over, and both parties are free to marry whomever the choose, no?

Unless there is strong religous stuff going on or something else I am missing.

Tell 'your friend' that it's okay. If she hadn't gone thru that, she wouldn't be the same person she is now, and wouldn't appreciate 'him' nearly as much.

If 'he' can't get past it, 'he' needs to find a fiancee with no prior relationships. This one won't work.

This is a pretty stupid-ass question. I'm sorry, I've tried to make sense out of it but it's not becoming any clearer. Unless your "friend" is living in Zimbawa or something where it's taboo to be engaged to someone who has been engaged before. Then yes, it is a stupid-ass question.

you do realize this falls under the case of everyone's ex is insane too...

Fact though are she agreed to marry him and did all the perks along the way REPEATEDLY...

complete loser is right.

It's one thing to say I divorced / broke up with my ex because she thought it would be cool to start doing heroin....it's another to say *ever* since I met them they were a loser, they never did anything for me, etc...

In any normal relationship, yes the sex was fun, yes we did have fun, yes .. yes ... yes, but then she/he grew apart and we decided to move on separately.
