Is it ok to use a tower as a desktop?

Basically - I've got limited space for a computer, so am wondering if it is ok to use the midi-tower as a desktop.
Main thing that bothers me is playing round with the cd's trying to get them in at 90 degree on the vertical.
Is it possible?
is it Recommended?
is it just a silly idea?

Works fine. Most CD drives have those little clip things on the platter that you can extend to help you put the disks in at 90 degrees.

Yep been there done that. Works fine. I used to do this back in the days when there were no towers. haha . Damn I am showing my age..

sure you can put your tower on the desktop if you want. would suggest that you get a slot loading dvd drive instead of a tray loading cd/dvd drive to make life easier for using cds & dvds!

Cheers folks - this will allow me to sleep easy for the next few nights.
At least until I put the damned thing together/

Hey whiplash, you what were the ole jupiter ace's like then?

Of course, you realize you will have turn your monitor on it's side, or the display will be turned 90 degrees.
