Is it ok to use a 1gb kit and a 2gb kit at the same time?

So I currently have a 1gb (2x512mb) OCZ plat. rev 2 DDR1 PC3200 in my comp.

I'm looking to up my memory to 2gb. I see newegg has the OCZ plat. 2gb (2x 1gb) DDR1 for $74 AR which to me is a relatively cheap upgrade solution. I realize that 4GB DDR2 ram can be had for super cheap, but I'm limited to DDR1 for now.

I'm using a DFI Lan party 4 Ultra-D and will I be able to use all 3gb of memory at once? Right now it's just 2x 512mb sticks. Will there be any problems using 4 sticks (2x 512, 2x 1gb) at the same time?

it should work fine, just make sure the timing on the RAM is the same or you can force it to be the same otherwise BSOD I found this out the hard way with my old P3
