yes there is no issue. Best part is if you upgrade to 4GB later on you'll be good to go!

Exactly, if you get 4GB of RAM or more you will need a 64 bit OS, unless you only have a 32 bit CPU in which case you need to stick with a 32 bit OS.

I just ran into a 32 bit CPU this week, blew my mind for a minute...How quickly we forget!

Is your CPU 64 bit?

Short answer: yes. Longer Answer: Some Intel Atom platforms that have 64-bit capable CPUs don't have 64-bit driver support, so you should use 32-bit on those platforms.

This reminds me of:

Windows 95 definition: "a 32 bit graphical Shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor, written by a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition"

About time to update this, isn't it :)

But yes, your OS will run just fine with only 2GB of ram, but better on 4 and way better on 8........
