Is it OK to ship 9V batteries USPS Priority?

I just dropped a package off with 2 9V batteries in it (one hooked up). The lady asked if there were any hazardous materials in it and I said no .. I am guessing it is alright, but I always worry about stupid things like this.

I saw Training Day last night, it was pretty good ..
