Is it ok to make sauces in a cast iron skillet?

Basically I'm going to be searing the breaded seasoned shrimp on one side and broiling the shrimp on the other. Then I take the cooked shrimp out of the skillet and add in white wine to the shrimp bits that are left in the skillet. When that reduces a bit, I add cream and mustard and some other stuff, and voila, sauce is made.

I heard that boiling things in a cast iron skillet may be bad because it kills the seasoning or something?

No. The chemicals in the sauce will combine with the iron in the pan to make thermite, which will melt through your stove and go right into the center of the Earth, destroying gravity,

The white wine will vaporize upon touching the skillet. You will have to somehow cool the skillet a bit first

Acidic foods/liquids will eat through the seasoning on the pan. Not a big deal. Just season it again.
