Is it OK to eat out of Tupperware?

I was recently "caught" eating Jello out of a Tupperware container and was ridiculed. Do you feel it's alright to eat from plastic containers? I am saving myself from washing a dish after all.

If the wife isn't around and I have to make dinner, sometimes I'll eat it right out of the pot to avoid more dishes. So eating out of Tupperware is fine with me.

If someone wants to ridicule me, then let them volunteer to wash the extra dishes!

If it's some leftovers than sometimes I don't bother taking it out, because I've made some plates dirty already with it the day before or something, and the container is already dirty, just saves effort.
