Is it ok to casually offer a girl your jacket?

I was outside with my film class doing a practice shoot when a classmate - a female- mentioned how cold it was to me...She then added "oh, you wouldn't know since you're wearing that leather jacket... I felt the immediate impulse to offer her my jacket (I'm a tubby guy, I stay warm easily) but thought that would be crossing the line from polite to weird.. Should I have offered her the jacket? She's not a close friend but we're in-class partners...I feel guilty for not offering but what should I do in the future?

Its ok to offer. I've done it a few times. Its never weird, its just a kind gesture. They will think it was nice, and nothing more.

I'd be the only person in the class large enough for that to be a possibility.only because she's small and asian (i'm not like 5000 pounds).. I think I'll pass gutting myself..
