i did a pentium 4 build and noticed the motherboard had that 2nd power connector that pentium 4 CPU's have-- that 4 pin deal....

a previous pentium 4 MB i used didn't have this connector...

anyway, the case isn't pentium 4 type-- the power supply doesn't have that 4 pin connector...

windows XP installed just fine-- have used the computer a little bit-- no problems.

anyway, is it ok to leave that 4 pin connector on the motherboard unplugged, so to speak? or should i go out and get a power supply (or pentium 4 approved case) that has that 4 pin power supply to hook to that connector on the MB?

thanks

i dont have a p4 system so i dont really know how vital the extra 12v plug is, but to be safe you could go online and buy an adapter that goes from regular 4-pin molex to the 4-pin 12v connector for the mobo. i think you can get one for like $5 or less
