is it not possible to share laser printers?

i got samsung ml1740 recently. i also have smc 7004br router, which has printer sharing through parallel port. problem is i can't get samsung printer to work through router. previously i had a inkjet shared through router and it worked fine.

is it not possible to share laser printers?

Did you set the Share in windows?

Start->Settings->Printers
Context click on the appropiate printer->Properties

I have three computers and two printers - one inkjet and one laser. All three computers share both printers through my LAN and router. I do not use a separate line from the router to any printer. The printers are installed on all computers as "share" items, but are linked primarily to 2 of the 3 systems. For the printers to be accessed, their primary computers must be on line.
