Is it normal to have to increase Vdimm to gain stability with all 3 dimms populated?

i was running my agoia Y at 166fsb with 1 stick of samsung genuine pc2700 @ 2.6volts

i've just added 2 more 256mb sticks so now i have 768mb of ram. the new sticks are corsair xms C2 pc3200

to get stability in windows i had to up the vcore to 2.7 (2.73 in mbm)

are systems supposed to be less stable with all three dimm slots populated?

it should also be noted that i am using an epox 8k3a board

is it alright to run the ram at 2.7V?

RAM IS BEING RUN AT 166MHZ

Yes this is common...Also 2.8v on some boards (Epox) may be exceptable since the default is 2.6v and not 2.5v like on most....

i still keep getting occational blue screens, its only when i play games thought- mainly ut2k3

should i raise the vdimm to 2.8?

here is another question

right now i have samsung genuine pc2700CTL in dimm slot 1 and the corsair XMS c2 pc3200 in 2 and 3, would this max of ram contribute to the random instability?

right now i'm running 2.5-2-6-2-2T

does the samsung ram not like the corsair?

try just using the XMS sticks ~ do not use slots 2 & 3 at the same time.

Take out the samsung. Then drop the CAS to 2. I doubt you would have any problems with blue screens (your ram is rated at 200Mhz, 166 should be a push over).
