I've lived here my entire life (41 years old) and have never been to the Indy 500 and will never go. It dwarfs the Super Bowl in attendance and I can't imagine dealing with that crowd.

Yup...you'll never see me there either. Anything east of 465 on Crawfordsville, up to 38th, and down to Rockville/Washington is off limits for me. That may seem overkill to some (except you I'd think, being from here), but people are parked on the roads and in people's yards for just about that square distance. It's a phenomenon.

I have never had nor ever will have a desire to go to the Super Bowl. I don't care if the Skins are playing or not, it simply isn't worth it.

besides, it's not like you'd be able to watch the game as well as you would from a TV broadcast.

And miss out on the chance to drink $9 Miller Lites?

If I lived nearby I'd rent out my house.

When the Super Bowl was in Glendale for Pats vs Giants Round 1, there were people who lived across the street from the stadium renting out their houses for 2 weeks and staying at hotels. One person I knew who did that, got $10k for 2 weeks and charge the renters a $5k deposit. The house was spotless when they returned.

You bet your ass I would do that, in a heart beat!

I went to the superbowl festivities when it came in Houston in 2004(?). I'm glad I did. It was crazy packed and I saw lots of b00bies. It was pretty much a mardi-gras experience for me. Buy superbowl beads!
