I recently purchased a 60gig ata133 maxtor harddrive from an online vendor and upon formatting and scandisking it I was supprised there was around 2mb of bad sectors. I haven't had to purchase a new hardrive for about 6 years now and I was wondering if its common now for new hardrives to come with bad sectors?
When I get home tonight I'm going to run pwrmaxen on it to see if any other issues show up.
