what particular 5 year old intelligence? i am guessing intelligence that clinton and the UN had about iraq's WMD program that prompted air and missile strikes that did not destroy his wmd progam as hoped?

is it negligent to assume the WMD that was not destroyed just "went away"?

is it negligent to assume that a 7 pound block of cyanide salts that could be used for cancer research and other beneficial uses will be used for those things by a known terrorist?

is it negligent to assume that a hidden 40 acre chemical complex found scrubbed clean and deserted was really used for making aspirin?

is it negligent to assume that army generals usually oversee aspirin factories?

What WMD that was not destroyed are you referring to?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that salt found just a few days ago?

I won't comment on the complex or General statements because I don't know the details. Are you sure about that General statement? There was a lot of stories that came out of Iraq that were later debunked.

Are you saying that the hundreds of times people have said that Bush used the same intel as Clinton is wrong?

IN the first few days of the war, they army found some sort of production facility that empty, with a general at that location and it was surrounded by barbed wire and defences.....

We can only speculate on what was there...

Same, as in from the same agency. Same as in old data, plus new data.

I surely hope the CIA has not did not stop working on iraq intel after 1998. You seem to be making that assumption.

If someone asserts they acted on the same basic Intel as Clinton.. in essence, they are saying Clinton was derelict for not having acted back then. And, if stated properly and with out a continued dialog it will go by with out much challenge. But, everyone knows that Clinton had what Clinton had and The President has what he has. If these two are consistent that would not surprise me too much. If Iraq was thought to have WMD in '97 why wouldn't he have them in '03 given the absence of 'proof of destruction' or Intel to that effect. He couldn't very well destroy what he didn't have.. I could argue that line, I think.

Playing? Are we playing a game mr. tabloid link guy? How about some links? Funny, I've heard no mention of anything like that even as the administration tries to explain away the whole WMD issue. Why is that? Must be the damn libs again...

So, they found an empty "production facility", as you put it. It had a general there and barbed wire right? Sounds pretty solid man...sort of like those mobile labs that turned out to just be hydrogen producers..right? Was it an empty milk production facility? How about maybe an old Willy Wonka chocolate factory that had been outsourced to India? What exactly was "produced" there?

Like i said, we can only speculate what was there.
But how often do you see milk factories with a general and barbed wire....

Fair enough. Here's the thing though, if this was indeed a chemical weapons or other WMD production facility, or even may hve been used as such, don't you think we would hear about it? Don't you think a possible WMD production facility, albeit empty, would be something this administration would be pointing as evidence of Saddams alleged programs?
