Is it necessary to do the 15,000 miles check up?

I just did a 7,500 miles check up about 3 months ago.. What Do they check anyways? It seems like they're doing nothing different from the routine check-up they do during an engine oil change...

yea i've been partying too much, commuting, seeing my gf too many times... i read the stats in the paper and it says i drive 53 miles a day...wtf.

What does the service call for? That's the real thing. If it's stuff like "lubricate door hinges", leave it alone.

duh, oil change on mazda 6 can only be done through a dealership. It has one of those disposable paper filter that slides into the engine and it can only be opened by special equipments by the mechanics.

and @ $25 for an hour worth of work/getting rid of grease/quarts of oil/hot car wash, I don't waste my time doing it for myself. Which is wiser now?

I seriously doubt it can only be done through a dealer, but my point also went over your head. I was just laughing that you bought a new car and have to pay for the service and oil changes. All my service and oil changes are 100% free.

well here's my second counter:

I got the car at a loss leader price. At MSRP of $19100, and invoice @ $17500, I got the car for $15500 out the door with 3.9% APR (with my near perfect 780 credit rating) for 5 years. (they offer 0% now, but it was the lowest they offered for the perfect credit)

All this thanks to RossMan's loss leader hot thread and how he got his Accord SE for really cheap.

Who's laughing now? 😛

[edit]
you get oil change for free? what do you drive? an overpriced lexus or BMW and their sorry excuse is to provide 'free' oil change for the premium u paid?

All service, maintenance, and random things are covered by Audi for 50k miles. BTW, you can easily change the oil on your own.

I'm not cracking on your car, because I really like the Mazda 6. I just found it bizarre that someone would spend money on a BRAND NEW car and then not want it to be serviced. I would think that most people would want their car to stay in good shape. I assumed it was because you had to pay for the 15k service, so that is why I asked if you had to pay for service and oil changes.

You're way too defensive bub.

I'm glad the loss leader ads I mailed you helps explain what exactly they are.

Again you got a great deal on a fun to drive car, nice financing as well (I got 8.25% but later re-fi'd with my CU @ 3.99%).

Did you check your book to see if it listed what the 15k service entails? Just post a listing and we can tell you if it is worth it.
