Is it my imagination or is there a huge gay population in Toronto?

Go down to Miami, South Beach.
Most of those guys holding hands will kick your ass as well.

There are lots of gay people in Toronto. If you grow up gay in Sudbury, or Timmins, where do you go?
You sure as hell don't stay there!
I think it makes the city interesting, and for the most part, they tend to hang out in thier own neighbourhood (Church and Wellesly). If it makes you uncomfortable, you could always avoid that neighbourhood.

I stayed at the governor hotel the couple of times that I've been there. The friend I go there with is a distant relative of one of the owners.
I don't remember the name of the hotel, but it's on the way from the governor to the Clevelander. Completely gay clientele
I don't agree with the lifestyle, but I don't have anything against gays personally.
I stayed at a B&B owned by two gay men. Only one was there though.
He was quite effusive: "ooh, you have such a nice tan" as he rubbed my arms and "you're so skinny" as he felt my abs.
I figured the guy was basically harmless so I didn't let it bother me too much. I just kept my distance after that.

Uhmm, no. Can't say that I'm regularly hit on by gay men. I didn't say that this guy hit on me either. Maybe he was just a toucher. Some people are just more physically demonstrative than others.

There is also a specific area within the city where there are many gay/lesbian's. It's called boys town. College/Church/Wellsely area.
