hi,

ok so i finally bought myself a xfx 6600gt card....and had prince of persia: sands of time lying around (never got to really play it cuz i was too lazy to buy a good vid card)

So at first when i start the game it says 6600 card is not compatible...do u want to continue (i say yes) and after playing perfectly (and beautifully) fine...it just stops. What exactly happens is that my screen goes black, and the screen looks like its on stand-by mode because the light blinks (near the off/on switch), but i can still hear all the fans and stuff going about their business in my desktop. Nothing responds...ctrl alt del, windows key, nothing...so i have to hold the on/off button on my desktop tower for a couple of seconds to shut if off and later turn it back on.
Now going back to the compatibility issue..i have downloaded 'pop_gf6800fix' fix off the internet which is supposedly supposed to fix this problem but all it fixes is that it doesnt tell me that the 6600 card is not compatible...rather only asks me if i want to start in safe mode (either or doesnt matter i get the same result)

OK now whoever took the time out to read my boring rant, can u plz tell me is it my graphics card that is the problem or something else and how do i fix it!!!

my comp
Intel p4 1.8ghz
SY-P4RC350 ATI 9100IGP Motherboard
XFX GeForce 6600 GT 128MB
640MB DDR SDRAM----after vid card comes out to 512mb
300w psu

Hey guys!!! guess how i fixed my problem.....i have my case open and have a mini fan (which is alitte bigger then the size of your hand spread open) aimed at it (the mobo and everything on it), and now i can play my game for hours!!!! haha freakin' hilarious, i guess it was an over heating issue
.......Hmmmm next im thinking about having a hamster run in a wheel to generate enough energy to power my whole desktop ;)
