Is it me, Windows ME, or ATI?

Has anyone out there with Windows ME OS sucesfully installed the ATI radeon 32m DDR on their system. All I get is Windows protection errors. The driver doesn't work. I get the same problem with the latest driver I downloaded off the ATI website. Is it me, Windows ME, or ATI? My tnt2 card works fine.
