Is it me or is asus' website always slow as garbage??

I'm am in the market for notebooks, and there are several that Asus makes that I am interseted in, but their website is always slow to load (every page!) Its to the point where they are going to be losing a potential customer... any else have problems with their site?

I never bother looking at Asus' website directly when looking for notebooks that they make. There are many variants (specs-wise) of the same model, you can't buy direct from them (and they don't list the prices), and the flash stuff is kind of annoying. If you're looking for information on currently available Asus notebooks, you should look at Newegg or another Asus reseller to get a better idea of what they sell.

yes it's been dog slow for years
sometimes it's so lagged in never loads.

maybe with all these EEE pc sales they'll be able to afford an internet upgrade 🙂

Their web servers are hosted by EEE PC xxx clustered. The traffic is handled by 9600 bauds modem.

LOL, yeah it's ridiculously slow. That's one of the reason I stop buying their motherboard. I'm interested of one of the laptop -- V2S Lamborghini.

I refused to buy ASUS products as a result of their website. If you cannot get to a site where to download BIOS, Drivers, Etc... Why the hell do I want your motherboard? Or any other products for that matter? I'll never touch ASUS until long after they correct their bandwidth issues.

i own a M3A78 MB, my internet is capable of 7000 kb/ps and i was trying to get an amdchipset driver 450Mb...i gave up...said download time was 8 hours and connection cut after 2 hours. this is very annoying.

Nah, I heard it was a single Eee PC, but last year they upgraded to a 56k modem.

Seriously though, they're notorious for having had the slowest web site this side of dial-up since the internet began. That's why their company is profitable... factory $60k/mo overhead, employees $260k/mo salaries, web site $19.95/mo phone line... profit?

About all Taiwan's computer vendors' websites are slow as hell, be it ASUS, Gigabyte, Acer,... you name it.

But seems their Europe websites are faster.
