Is it me, or do the NY Giants have some far out player names

Osi Umenyiora, Mathias Kiwanuka, R.W. McQuarters, Amani Toomer, Plaxico Burress, Zak DeOssie, and my personal favorite... Guy Whimper. As I type this all but 3 first names and Guy Whimper have red-squiggles for spell checking!

Yikes! I know if you look hard enough every team will have some interesting names.. but the Giants are officially Super Bowl Champions of 9t.

Anyway, go Giants... down in flames! E-A-G-L-E-S!

Its not just the Giants. I'm just about convinced that most pro athletes play under pseudonyms to make them more memorable... unless you're an offensive lineman, and in that case, nothing's gonna help you.

i like the packers lineman Johnny Jolly. not as interesting as the giants names but i like it non the less. i cannot think of another team with as many interesting names as them either.

You have to feel something for people with those names... as if you don't get any sort of famous then you're just a guy with a weird ass name. But now they can be that GIANTS player with the weird ass name.
