Is it me or am I crazy MSI 6167 benching faster than a ASUS k7v

Is it me or am I going crazy I upgraded to a ASUS K7v with a ASUS Geforce2 from a MSI 6167 with a voodoo 3 3000 beacause it was supposedly faster but know that I compare my two 3dmark 2000 scores i see the configuration I had before with the voodoo 3 3000 was faster than my current configuration with the geforce 2. i have all the lastest drivers and tried with the older drivers and the results are the same

3DMARK 2000 V 1.1 WITH MSI 6167 AND VOODOO 3 3000= 2540 1024 X 768 16 BIT

3DMARK 2000 V 1.1 WITH ASUS K7V AND ASUS GEFORCE2 GTS= 2264 1024 X 768 16 BIT

WHAT THE GIVES HERE ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
