sell tickets outside a venue @ cost. I know it's illegal to sell them for a profit or something like that, but what if it's at cost. I'm located in Cali if anybody needed to know.

Usually the rule is face value only, no more. The price that is on the ticket is the max you can sell them for.

Even if you bought them from ticketmaster, and they charged a service fee, you may NOT try and add that fee on.

You legally can sell them for more then face value in certain areas.

I know that in seattle its against the law to sell above face value to events inside city limits but if you goto kirkland you can sell them higher. Thats why all the scalpers live in kirkland :).

One of the initial concerns regarding this project was whether we might run into legal problems regarding ticket scalping. In California, it is not against the law to sell tickets above their initial price if you didn't purchase the tickets for the purpose of reselling them and, most importantly, if you are not selling them on the grounds of the venue where the event is taking place. Penal Code § 346. See also, Food & Ag. Code § 4301. Therefore, an on-line swap site shouldn't be a problem in California.

hope this helps:D

All depends on the venue. Some have ruels that you can't sell them for any price within a certain number of feet even if it's below face value.

Exactly.

Hell, call the venue and ask them. (And get a name!)
