So yeah, Lavalys no longer supports Everest Home Edition, and they don't have it available for download either.

Is it legal to download and use if I find it somewhere else? Why or why not?

It'd suck, but there are undoubtedly other programs out there that provide this sort of information.

I just want to know, is all.

I read the EULA, and it doesn't say anything about users no longer being allowed to use the Home Edition.

Then again, I downladed this quite a while ago. I checked the website and it doesn't seem to say anything specific about it either. Guess I'll check their boards and see what I can see.

of course you can still use it.

You just won't get any support if there is an issue and you won't see any updates to it either.

Are you asking b/c of moral reasons or are you truly afraid of doing something illegal (if it even were illegal)

I'm a smod on another board, and I was thinking it'd be a distinctly bad idea to give people links to download illegal software.

So I want to know if it's legal to do so or not. I was hoping this would be a thread with like one reply giving a concrete answer, but alas...

Lavalys' website should explicity say whether or not it is legal to use or distribute. And I'm sure oldversion.com would have taken it down were it illegal. I believe download.com or some other similar site also has it up.
