Is it legal for my apt. manager to...

Outside my apt used to be a lot parking spaces on the street, then one day
I saw my manger start taking out red paint and making thier own
red section of the "do not park" area....

Is that crap legal ? I thought it is always the city that does that kind stuff and not the apt. manger ?

also, hot summer is here, I been living in this apt for almost 10yrs, and we still have that 70s AC in the living room, that pos hardly work, and when I spoke to the manger to repalce it, I got a no can do answer back, yet they just upped my rent again... wth

If it's a private drive, he can paint it himself. There are probably some sort of regulations about how parking lots are painted and what type of paint is legal.

could it be ? I thought even if the manger get the permission from the city
it is still up to the city to send someone to make that,
and man, they did a crappy job on the paint on the curve too ....

public street curve.

Just call the city office and ask them to where to call to complain about this. Then call there and complain about it.

The manager spray painting a public street is like me taking a deuce on the edge of the toilet seat, it'll keep people from using the toilet but if the right man finds out about it you can bet it'll be cleaned up.

He can paint there all he wants - however unless it is actually approved by the city you cannot be ticketed for parking there. You need to find out if the city approved it (in which case the city, not the apt. manager should have been out to paint/place signs).

As for the AC, he or the company that owns the complex is responsible for replacing it if it does not adequately function. There may be some cost to you depending on any rental agreement signed.

There are people you can call to help deal with this sort of thing, call up your city office and ask what you can do.
