Is it just me or is Zipzoomfly ridiculous?

Here's the story... So my dad orders my Z-5500's on Zipzoomfly.com as a first time buyer with a new account. Anyways, the next day we get a call, but no one answers it so it's picked up by the answering machine. Some lady is on the message that was left and I can't even understand what name she is calling herself.. it sounded like "Shar".... I've never personally heard such a name... Anyways, she leaves her callback number and extension, and My mom tries to call this "Shar" back... and ends up leaving a message. First mistake by Zipzoomfly, answeringing machines lead customers to think you don't even care about them. Anyways, on with the story.. We end up hearing nothing and then she calls back the next day and leaves another message to confirm our shipping address. Same deal, answering machine and another message left. And today we get an email that says we have not confirmed our shipping address, which is complete BS. I'm going to call those stupid fvckers again tommorow and tell them this is their last chance to make a sale, they better confirm the address right away or else I am cancelling the order. Who the hell takes messages off of a company answering machine??? I mean c'mon there's probably 100 messages left on there every few hours because their stupid infastructure of support is so great.

well I'm sure they wouldn't be after this first initial sale.. but their ways of confirming a shipping address just before they don't ask you for a middle name on their sign up sheet is really stupid... I mean, there's a middle initial on my dad's CC and that's the only reason why they're having to confirm.

seems to me theyre looking out for customers by confirming. not their fault that no one is there to take the call. maybe your mom called back during lunch break, thier time?

edit: cant use your and youre correctly tonight. ill blame it on the

I always get my credit card/bank statement out to make sure the address is EXACTLY the same whenever I place an order. I'm sure a computer program checks to see if it matches, and if it doesnt, it flags the order. I had a problem once when I said "Apt 4" vs "No 4".

well it's more like how would my mom miss it both times, It seems more to me that they need more people to take calls instead of playing some stupid ping pong match with their customers.. Doesn't matter, it leaves me no choice but to cancel when first I can't even understand the name of the lady calling, and then I can't even get ahold of a representative to talk to, I mean, WTF else am I supposed to do? sit and play a ping pong match with them for weeks? What is that supposed to leave me thinking?

yea its called AVS (Address Verification) for Card Not Present (CNP) this is lower fraud so you should be happy that they are following that and you don't end up with a ridiculous bill for stuff you didn't buy.

i doubt your mom is waiting by the phone to take a call from zzf for your speakers, and i doubt "shar" is panting by the phone waiting for you to call back. this stuff happens when ordering online as a new customer. just part of the process.

a week is a bit long. call and talk to any rep, they should be able to help you.

But then may I ask this question, Why do they even have an answering machine? if they don't use it there's no point at all in having one, we've left messages two times already and not gotten one call back from them
