i prefer lowes also compared to the home dilemma. just cleaner, more comfortable atmosphere. home dilemma always seems to have a bunch of crap on the floor cluttering up the aisles/check out lanes.

It's a hardware store, not Circuit City.

Home Depot has Benny Hill for a president?

How can it not suck?

(sees all those people running around like ants in a fire with Benny Hill music playing loudly by the poolside band!)

im not asking for circuit city though, i just want to get into an aisle without lifting 30 fan boxes that are blocking the way. at the home depot by me its more cramped in there than free drinks before 10. you'd figure an employee would come pick up the crap and move it in a less obstructingly area, but it appears that customer service is low on their list of priorities.

I used to swear by HD, because it was the first in my area and the one I used to always go to was very well organized and I hated the layout of Lowe's. But every other HD I have been to has the worst layout I have ever seen. They will randomly turn aisles 90 degrees so you can't look down them as you walk down the main aisle.

Last home depot I was in I asked a guy working in the HVAC department where the thermostats were, he acted like he had never heard the world thermostat before.

I still prefer my home town HD to Lowe's, but I prefer the Lowe's just about everywhere else.

to me they are the same
and both usually have very crappy service, because they don't hire enough people
people have ring those help buttons for chain or wire or ladders etc for half a freakin hour to get help
