Is it just me? Or does the 6th season of Stargate SG-1 suck?

I've been watching the series and it has been awesome up till the 6th season. I love the show, but the 6th season has been fairly bad so far. The guy that plays Jonas Quinn must be the worst actor ever!!!

i didnt find the 6th season that bad. and Jonas is kinda annoying for a lil bit but he gets better as the season goes on. I think they are on season 8 or so now, I love the show just never watch it enough to understand some of the big story arcs

Obviously you missed the first season which included the Amanda Carter female liberation episode.

Seriously, the sixth season gets better after they flesh out Jonas some more.

Well I have never seen it, but I am going to have to go with you on this one. It was definately the suckiest season of SG1 I have never seen.

I dunno... it just seem like Jonas has exactly the same expression for everything - happiness, sadness, shock, concern... same expression. And I don't really like his voice for some reason. What is that accent anyways? And I would much rather him actually demonstrate that he is a "quick study" rather than have him say that about himself 5 times an episode.

LOL, "worst. episode. ever."
That episode convinced me to stop watching the show for years, I didn't see season one until the DVDs came out.

Season 1 actually gets pretty good after that, and starts off the universe building that worked out so well in the later seasons. Along with Buffy, SG-1 has had some of the best multi-season continuity on television.

I don't know what female liberation episode u guys are talking about. Is that the one she was taken by a Tok'ra?

Yeah and Buffy Rocks too!!! I'm gonna watch that whole series when I'm done with SG1.

Season six isn't that bad. It's not my favorite, but it's okay. The female liberation episode I attribute to the fact that a lot series' first few episodes are shaky.

SG-1 isn't as good anymore when RDA isn't on the away team. At least imho

I think the worst episodes are the ones with Sentor/Vice Pres McKinzey. Not because the eps are poorly written or done or even the actor, it's that you really do hate the character.

Yeah up until a week ago, I didn't even know RDA/Colonel O'Neill was McGuyver. My gf told me. He must be pretty old by now.

That's true. You do rally end up hating the guy, but at least he doesn't suck at acting.

Actually, one of the more laughable shows of season 8 is "It's Good To Be The King". It was pretty good/funny until they tried to pass Wayne Brady off as a First Prime of whatever system lord was the bad guy that week. Then, it became laughable.

I haven't gotten past season 6 yet. Please no spoilers. So I take it, I get to look forward to some guest stars? Wayne Brady is holarious (I catn spel).

Stargate rocks. Currently in season 8. They will have a season 9, and that will be it. I am concerned about season 9 though, because RDA will only be in 4 episodes.
