Kinda hard to vote either way when dont even explain what you were installing and/or setting up.

In general, yes, it sucks...and is pretty useless...took support calls all the time about it messing up...and was happy to tell the people that that was a crying shame, call novell

NetWare is fine. NCP is still better than SMB and NDS is still better than AD. Novell has been doing things for a decade that Microsoft hasn't been able to replicate.

I love my Novel box, imagine a file system that doesn't need defragging, EVER? MS could learn a lot from Novel.

They need to stop stealing ideas and concepts strictly from Apple and broden their hi-jacking tactics...

In general unix filesystems don't need defragmenting either, Windows is really the only place where defragmenters are common and that's partly because MS wants to leave a market for companies like Executive Software.

Huh? Have you used AD? Huge chunks of it seemed to have been ripped verbatim from NDS.

Isn't it also standard-breaking kerberos/LDAP?

They didn't break the kerberos standard, MIT left a chunk of it unused for vendor use and Microsoft used it. The problem is they won't describe the data in there so 3rd parties can't get the security information out of it, I dont' know if anyone's reverse engineered it yet or not.
