I know this is a rant. But as of late I swear I see the divide between the rich and the poor is huge. I am so sick of seeing reports of CEO's getting a Christmas bonus of 53million. I work hard all year round and the goverenment is taxing the fscking crap out of me. The rich just setup companies and play the crooked good ole boy game. I just feel like the American concept of the Middle Class is dying at a crazy pace.

Im soooo pissed.

Might have something to do with the genius idea to give tax cuts to the top 2% of wealthy people?

And yet their share of taxes paid continued to increase. Funny, huh?

Top 5% share income tax paid:

2001 - 53.25%
2002 - 53.80%
2003 - 54.36%
2004 - 57.13%

Top 1% share income tax paid:

2001 - 33.89%
2002 - 33.71%
2003 - 34.27%
2004 - 36.89%

Wow, cut the upper income bracket's tax rate and they end up paying an even LARGER share of the taxes.

Meanwhile, the middle and lower class' share of income tax paid has fallen

And the downside is... what??? You're bitching... why???
