The US went into Afganishtan is perhaps due to oil pipelines. No one go into Wars with out a contingency plan, hence the US big oil/government had planed the invasion/regime change of Afghanistan years prior to 9/11.

The US went into Iraq on the false pretence of WMD, and again it was all about oil. First Iraq War is was all about oil, and same as the second war.

I think you are onto something piasabird, as the USA buys all that lovely oil from the Arab world, and then the Arabs take that US money to funds mid-east terrorists who quite understandable don't like Israeli terrorism. And then the USA funds more Israeli terrorism which inspires Arabs to fund even more anti-Israeli terrorism. While the Israelis take the the US money and use it to alienate the Arabs even more.

As it never occurs to any of us in the USA, if we actually had a fair and or even handed rational US policy the USA would be better off in trying to reduce the causes of terrorism in the first place. But no, perish that thought, when there is so much money to be made by a few rich arms dealers, while Uncle Sucker and the US tax payers lose our asses in a long succession of losing quagmires.
