Some of you don't understand. A 1 isn't somehow going to become a 5, but a 5 can easily become an 8. Someone isn't going to go from un-doable to doable, but someone that is doable goes from doable to very doable. Add in some drinks after work... world of pain stay away!

Yes, I've commented about this before. A person's attractiveness is somewhat relevant to their surroundings. A coworker who would be a "6" in a nightclub setting, can easily become an "8" or better when working long hours in a mostly same-gender environment (Engineering lab, etc.)

You knows those girls that hang out in the Computer Labs at college? Those that frequent sports bars and cheer for teams? Many of those (certainly not all) are average girls that have decided that becoming a "big fish in a little pond" is an efficient way to get around thier own "averageness."

Maybe it's more to me than anyone else because I go out on the weekends to bars and clubs and the first thing I look for in the girls at these places are looks (who has the cutest face, who has the nicest body, who is dressed the nice) but they end up having crappy personalities. At work I guess I get to see more of a person inside than anywhere else.

How attractive someone is can be related to how much you like them. If you hit it off or share common interests, you are more likely to see someone's attractive traits and ignore the flaws. Spending a lot of time with someone forces you to get to know them well. You're not just admiring the view.
