and so does Opera... also Firefox has 256 bit encryption.
it's the only browser I use for secure sites anymore.

IE sucks, I love Firefox and Opera.
 
I simply cannot believe this thread has spanned 100 posts. This thread is up there for 'most flamebait title ever' and ya'll just keep on taking the fscking bait and feeding the trolls. Why do most of you even waste time replying to such pointless threads like this?
 
I'll toss my opinion in here...

Felix has a point - many websites are coded for IE and it's peculiarities.

HOWEVER, last i checked, the W3C was in charge of setting standards for web coding, NOT Microsoft. They just invent their own standards, ignore existing ones, and expect everyone to go nicely along. This is the REASON firefox/opera/etc exist.

Until IE is something other than a bloated security risk that is non-standards compliant, i will be using firefox. opera is another nice alternative that fits some users better than others.

then why are >90% of web servers running on a *nix based system? Hell, even Microsoft was using a *nix for their servers for a while (i think they have since switched...). The government uses it (not the best example), universities and research labs use it, and countless fortune 500 companies DEPEND on it. What part of that says 'nobody' to you?

Also, code to standards and have your code be portable. With a few simple changes (mostly include files) and a recompile, your code will run on ANY platform. Didn't they teach you that your first day of class???

I'm not trying to call you out - just trying to point out how close-minded your arguements are. You're like those damn ATI or Nvidia fanbois - always screaming that there is only one way to do it and it's the best and blah blah blah...open you eyes and shut the fvck up for two minutes - you might learn something.

please help me
i just started using firefox for a couple weeks. but i dont know how i can arrange the favorite menu liek the way i did with IE. i want the items to be in the order of Folders first then websites. but FF didnt let me do it that way. it just arranges the items in the order of alphabet... anyone help pls
 
Has the OP got lynched in real life yet???

Stupid me using Opera because it is a better product than IE. I think the simple facts are that the IE browser has always been behind the bell curve when it came to internet innovations.
So what, now IE has a built in popupblocker?
Congrats Microsoft, welcome to four years ago!!

Tabbed browsing, built in email client and mouse gestures in Opera just makes it way too cool. Ditto that with Firefox, but that just isn't my thing.
 
i use firefox because i like it better... end of story. I don't care about going against the mainstream or being a dork... it's just a product I enjoy more. Do I berate you for choosing Herbel Essence over Pert Plus? no. So don't judge me because I choose to use a different product.
