Is it just me or did Bush completely skirt the last question?

Remember the last question asked of Bush...something like "tell us about 3 wrong decisions you have made as president". Was it just me or did he actually just talk about the right decisions he has made?

Yes, to a point. Sort of like how kerry ducked a question earlier in the debate. Bush did sort of address it but then took time explaining how the important decisions he's made are correct and were necessary.

Talk about a loaded question.. especially to end on.. there is NO WAY _ANYONE_ would have answered that question.. thats absolutely absurd.. its the same as saying 'When did you stop beating your wife Mr. Bush?'.. He he says decisions he made were wrong, the dems jump all over him.. if he doesn't, the dems jump all over him.. So, you ignore the ignorant question, and say what you have to say.

Just like Kerry did on the abortion and tax funding question.. he absolutely avoided the question.. it would have been stupid of him to answer it.. Either way he was screwed.. so, you ignore it, and say what you need to say.

As you can see, at least I can see both sides of it.. I don't pretend it doesn't happen on both sides.. and there is no way a candidate on EITHER side should have been asked that question.. it was a waste of time..

It was a wife beater question, and it was interesting that it was picked last as it was most biased towards hurting Bush 🙂

its a tough question, but not impossible. you admit mistakes on smaller unimportant decisions, and then describe how you have learned from those, and that in part has informed your larger decisions. Bush sidestepped it totally and the woman who asked it also refused to shake his hand afterwards (older woman in a red sweater). Kerry didn't answer that question either, and instead talked about Bush's gaffs.

and kerry totally skirted the questio of whether hed use tax money to help perform abortions. He went on about aids in africa and other nonsense, making no sense at all

No, he said quite clearly that there are many different beliefs and opinions about abortion, and its wrong to impose an opinion (either way) based on just one faith/perspective. Furthermore, he went on to say that if its a constitutional right, then access (lack of money) shouldn't neccessarily block that person's access to medical care.

3 big Mistakes and what have you done to correct them?

And he cites a few appointments as big mistakes!

I can't, for the life in me figure out, how Bush still thinks he was right to go to war with Iraq.

There is no way anybody could have come up with this answer in the course of 20 seconds.

People get asked, in job interviews every day, questions precisely like this one. It takes some creativity and genuine ability to question your own judgement to respond to the question honestly, yet do it in a way that still gets you the job. Since we're in effect hiring one of these two clowns for one of the most important jobs in our land, I don't see it as a "wife beater" type question whatsoever.

I think when he mentioned the appointments he's allegedly made mistakes over, I'm sure he was referring to everyone who's resigned their position and then either wrote books or spoke out against the administration. I'm sure Bush wishes he could travel back in time and never make some of those appointments.

Yep, avoid it he did not.
